6 Fun Things To Do This Summer For Free

Summer is the perfect time to relax and recoup, but you need to spend a lot of money doing so. I brainstormed a bunch of different things you can do by yourself or with lovely company this summer for free!

Make a Beautiful Breakfast at Home

Alright so this one is not exactly free but it is much cheaper than going out for breakfast and a lot more fun! Since we live in a fast paced world that throws food advertising at all of us like hot cakes, no pun intended, making a decadent breakfast at home has become so outdated.

Invite one of your friends to come over to help make a tower of chocolate chip pancakes and a delicious fruit salad. Now, you have aa fun activity to do with your friends in summer for free.

Take a Walk In the Park

Clear your mind and find your happy place by taking a long stroll in the park. Enjoy the nice fresh air and sunny days, appreciate the flowers and greenery. Another great opportunity to catch up with a friend would be to take a walk in the park. Not only is this fun but it is also healthy and productive.

Clean Out Your Closet

If you have not had a chance to clean out your closet in quite a while then this summer is the perfect opportunity to do so. This could be a weekend project or you could take it slow and break it up into smaller chunks so that by the end of your summer your closet will be totally cleaned out and reorganized. This is a very productive thing to do this summer for free.

You might eve consider donating some of your old or unwanted clothing pieces to a thrift store, homeless shelter, or passing them onto a friend. Also, places like Plato’s Closet will buy your old clothes from you. Postmark is an online store and will help you sell your old clothes, it is kind of like a modern day eBay but for your clothes, shoes and accessories.

Have a Garage Sale

This is a perfect opportunity to get rid of all of those unwanted clothes you just clean out of your closet! As well as getting rid of your unwanted closet items, you make even want to look through all of your stuff and discard the things that don’t matter to you anymore.

Volunteer at a Soup Kitchen

Take time this summer to give back to your community by volunteering at a local soup kitchen, homeless shelter, church, or anywhere else that is seeking assistance.

Write a book

Novels tend to be around 60,000 to 80,000 words So, if you write 1000 words a day, you could have your self a novel by the time summer is over.

You could choose to write about all of the exciting things you are doing this summer or create a fiction work and let all of your creative juices flow and tell their own story. Whatever you choose to write about will encapsulate a part of your summer.
